Join us at North York Harvest Food Bank's Community Fair!
On Friday October 9th from 10:30am to 2:00pm, the Community Fair is coming to the Lawrence Heights Community Centre with:
- Food
- Games
- Art & Button Making
- Hourly Raffle Prizes
- DJ Music
- And information tables on community resources, employment, and everything you need to know for the upcoming Municipal Election!
Toronto Elections will be on site to assist eligible voters with adding, updating, or checking their voters' list info.
Ward 8 Eglinton-Lawrence residents can also join a group transportation to the nearest advance voting location to vote early.
Come out to learn how to make your voice heard this Municipal Election!

- This event is free to attend. The Community Fair will be primarily outdoors, with indoor space available in case of rain. Accessible washrooms are located inside the community centre.
- Everyone is welcome! You do not have to be an eligible voter to attend. Bring your friends, family, and neighbours to the Community Fair!

KNOW YOUR VOTING RIGHTS For the Municipal Election on October 26:
Who can vote?
- You can vote if you live in Toronto, are a Canadian citizen, and 18+ years old.
- You must vote in the ward where you live.
- You DO NOT need to be pre-registered to vote. You can add your name to the voters’ list in person when you go to vote.
- You DO NOT need to receive a voter card in the mail.
What do I need to vote?
- Bring one piece of acceptable ID showing your name and a Toronto address. Photo ID is not required.
- Examples of Acceptable ID & Proof of Toronto address: driver's license, phone bill, lease, utility, paystub, bank statement, OW/ODSP statement, tax assessment, school report card, etc. Your Voter Information Card cannot be the ID.
- If you are eligible to vote but do not have ID or proof of address, contact NYHFB for support.
When can I vote?
- Advance Voting: October 6 to 11, 10am to 7pm
- NYHFB Community Fair on Friday October 9: Ward 8 residents can join the group transportation to advanced polling station to vote early!
- Election Day: Monday, October 26 from 10am to 8pm
